Dazzling After Life & Butterfly Animation

I am thrilled to be included in the 2026 By Hand - An International Craft Nouveau Competition shown at the Sacramento Blue Line Arts Organization gallery - January 10 to February 21st.

I have long wanted to created an Augmented Reality (AR) animation and decided this was the prefect gallery event.

After trial and error I decided to make a 3D butterfly in the same mixed media embellished style as the 2D Dazzling After Life. I shot a few stop motion frames of the butterfly to include in a digital animation. I have included some process photos.

I originally wanted to do a gold bedazzled butterfly but realized a stronger color would be a better choice. I used Adobe Photoshop to refine the digital elements and 3D butterfly frames and assembled the layers in Adobe Animate to create the motion.
